Fabulous Girls Foundation announced that the 8th Annual Fabulous Woman Awards will go digital, streaming to a wide audience. The 2020 Awards, which celebrates the theme “EachforEqual,” takes place on Saturday, August 01 at 7pm and is one of the women award celebrations to announce their online approach in response to the coronavirus. The presentation of awards will be available on Fabulous Woman Awards YouTube channel and all social media pages from 7pm on Saturday night, August 01st 2020.
Awards CEO Pontsho Manzi states, “While the pandemic dictates our break with tradition, we are eager to enter this brave new world. It’s an interesting challenge, and Fabulous Girls Foundation loves a challenge! The show must go on. Now, more than ever, it is essential that we continue to recognise the achievements of women around us.
Every year, the Fabulous Girls Foundation hosts girls from various townships all over South Africa at the awards following intense image management workshops, entrepreneurship training and career guidance interventions throughout the year. These interventions uncover stars during the year from school we visit whom we invite to the awards and award their effort under often seemingly insurmountable odds. This year’s guests of honour will be girls from Soshanguve in the Tshwane Municipality.
Fabulous Woman Awards will be presented in the following categories: Humanitarian, Women empowerment (Sisterhood), Fabulous Woman of the Year, Fabulous Girl of the Year, Resilient Woman, Resilient Girl, Job Creation Award and Woman of the Soil Award.
